School Community Council Meeting Notes

Council Members Present: Danielle Samora,  Mike Adams, Aimee Payne, Jacey Wickham, Diane Edtl, Cassie Smith, Rachel Anderson, Ryan Durant

Non-Members Present: Amanda Parker,

Members Not Present: Kim Adams, Amanda Sessions,

1. Roll Call and Welcome

2. Approve Minutes from October Meeting
   1. Question about the attendance of one member at the last meeting. Will confirm at the next meeting and correct if necessary.
   2. Danielle Samora motioned to approve
   3. Diane Edtl seconded
   4. Minutes Approved

3. Business Items
   1. MAP Data
      1. 49% of our students are at 50% or above for proficiency in reading
      2. 44% of our students are at 50% or above for proficiency in math
   2. Reviewed school climate survey
      1. Students that report that they have an adult in the building that they trust
      2. 89% report that they have an adult in the building that they can trust
      3. Council made suggestions on edits to the survey (adding the grade)
   3. Reviewed Early Warning System (EWS) data
   4. Discussed tardy incentive starting Monday and ending at mid-term (Dec. 5)

4. TSSP/Land Trust
   1. Budget
      1. The budget has not been updated

5. School Safety Report
   1. A secure drill will happen soon. The school will communicate with parents about what a secure drill is so they can review it with their students.

6. Counselor’s Report
   1. PCCR activities are starting.

7. Faculty Report
   1. Aimee Payne reported that the PD provided by Innovations is helpful
   2. Our PE coach has published a book on literacy in PE
