School Community Council Meeting Notes

Council Members Present: Ryan Durant, Diane Edtl, Mike Adams, Aimee Payne, Nicole Brinkerhoff

Non-Members Present: Randall Seltz

Members Not Present: Kim Adams, Danielle Samora, Amanda Sessions, Rachel Anderson, Cassie Smith

  1. Roll Call and Welcome
  1. Approve Minutes from November Meeting
    1. There were not enough council members to propose a vote. Voting for approval of the minutes occurred via email. Rachel Anderson motion to approve the minutes. Aimee Payne seconded. All in Favor of approving the minutes.
  1. Business Items
    1. Fall and Winter MAP benchmark testing data was shared with the committee.
    2. Students at Mount Jordan are making better than average growth in both math and ELA according to the data that compared student growth between Fall and Winter administrations of the MAP assessment.
  1. TSSP/Land Trust
    1. Mr. Durant shared a copy of the plan for the 25-26 school year with the council to show what goals we’re currently working on and what the Land Trust/TSSP money is being spent on.
  1. School Safety Report
    1. Upcoming fire drill scheduled for January 9.
    2. Report on audit from Utah School Safety Center.
  1. Counselor’s Report
    1. Counselors are holding PCCR meetings with 8th grade families and continuing to push out into classrooms for lessons.
    2. Registration for next school year opens soon, so counselors are working on the cards and information for next year.
  1. Faculty Report
    1. PLC culture and effective collaboration is the main focus among the faculty right now.

    1. Mike Adams made a motion to adjourn.
    2. Diane Edtl made a second to the motion.
    3. All were in favor of adjourning at 4:09 PM.
