MASKS: We are excited about the latest guidelines in place for possible COVID exposures that occur at school that allow students to stay in school. With the new guidelines, if both people involved (the COVID positive individual and those exposed) were wearing a mask at the time of exposure, the parent of the person who was exposed will be notified of the possible exposure through contact tracing but will not need to stay home and quarantine. Parents and students will monitor symptoms but the student is allowed to continue attending school. If either of the people involved was not wearing a mask at the time, the person who is exposed will need to quarantine as we have in the past (10 days without testing or on day 7 with a negative result.) Please remind your child that to be considered wearing a mask, the mask must be covering both their nose and mouth or they will need to be quarantined as if they weren’t wearing a mask.
TEACHER OF THE YEAR: It is the time of year where we are accepting nominations for Mt. Jordan’s teacher of the year. PBIS ACTIVITY: We will be holding a Positive Behavior activity on Thursday. Due to this activity we will be on a revised bell schedule this Thursday. You can access a copy of the bell schedule here .
HOMEWORK LAB: We are holding a homework lab for students to get help on any schoolwork from 2:40 – 3:40 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in the Library. There will be four teachers in the lab each day to be able to help with multiple subjects. All students are welcome to attend.

MÁSCARAS: Estamos entusiasmados con las últimas pautas establecidas para posibles exposiciones a COVID que ocurren en la escuela y que permiten a los estudiantes permanecer en la escuela. Con las nuevas pautas, si ambas personas involucradas (el individuo COVID positivo y los expuestos) usaban una máscara en el momento de la exposición, se notificará al padre de la persona que estuvo expuesta de la posible exposición a través del rastreo de contactos, pero no necesitará quedarse en casa y poner en cuarentena. Los padres y los estudiantes controlarán los síntomas, pero el estudiante puede continuar asistiendo a la escuela. Si alguna de las personas involucradas no llevaba una máscara en ese momento, la persona que está expuesta deberá ponerse en cuarentena como lo hicimos nosotros en el pasado (10 días sin pruebas o el día 7 con un resultado negativo). Recuerde a su hijo que Para que se considere que lleva una máscara, la máscara debe cubrir tanto la nariz como la boca o deberán ser puestos en cuarentena como si no llevaran una máscara.

ACTIVIDAD PBIS: Tendremos una actividad de comportamiento positivo el jueves. Debido a esta actividad estaremos en un horario revisado de campana este jueves. Puede acceder a una copia del horario de la campana aquí.
LABORATORIO DE TAREAS: Tenemos un laboratorio de tareas para que los estudiantes reciban ayuda con cualquier tarea escolar de 2:40 a 3:40 los lunes, martes y miércoles en la biblioteca. Habrá cuatro maestros en el laboratorio cada día para poder ayudar con múltiples materias. Todos los estudiantes que deseen asistir, serán bienvenidos.
